There are many types of CSCS cards available, so you need to get the one which reflect your occupation and your qualification in construction.

You must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and environment Test within the last two years.
One Day Health & Safety Awareness course / Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment course- Required to get Green Labourer CSCS Card - Ideal for Labourers.
| Red Card "Experienced Worker"
You must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and environment Test within the last two years
Experienced Worker card applicants must be able to provide proof of registration onto their NVQ/SVQ qualification.
The card is valid for one year and cannot be renewed
You must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and environment Test within the last two years.
You can apply for this card if you've got either:
Achieved a construction connected NVQ or SVQ level 2 qualification applicable to your occupation.
| Gold Card "Advance Craft or Supervisory"
You must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and environment / specialist test within the last two years.
Achieved a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ level 3 qualification applicable to your occupation, or Construction Related Supervisory/Technical NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or 4, or Occupational Work Supervision NVQ or SVQ Level 3
You must have passed the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test within the last two years.
Achievement of a relevant Construction Management/Technical related NVQ/SVQ level 5, 6 or 7
