As you gear up to obtain or renew your CPCS Plant Operative Card, mastering the CPCS Plant Operative Health, Safety, and Environment Test is an essential step. This comprehensive test is designed to equip construction workers with the necessary knowledge and awareness to operate safely within their environment.
The Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) test serves as a crucial indicator of a construction worker's ability to work safely. For employers, a workforce that has passed this test signifies a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others.
The Operatives test ensures workers possess a fundamental level of health, safety, and environmental awareness before stepping onto a construction site. This test covers five core knowledge areas:
To pass, achieving an 80% score is required, meaning at least 40 out of 50 questions need correct answers.
Before the test, complete the mandatory learning module by selecting the designated button. Subsequently, the test will become accessible.
We recommend taking the test on a laptop or tablet device using Chrome or Firefox browsers. Avoid using a Mac, mobile phone, or Safari browser for this purpose.
Identity verification is mandatory, and you'll need to keep your camera on during the test. The system will record both you and your screen throughout the examination. Exam conditions must be adhered to, ensuring a quiet, private space free from interruptions.
Select the round radio button beside each answer and use the forward arrow to navigate through the test. Upon completion, the system will save your exam (up to one minute), and you'll be instructed to log out for proper processing.
Post-test processing by the team takes about 2 working days, with results available on the card checker.
The test must adhere strictly to exam conditions. Any breach, such as visible or audible disruptions, will void the test, necessitating a new payment for a resit.
