Workskills Training Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who We Are
Workskills Training Limited, Office 443, 321-323 High Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, RM6 6AX, is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this website.
What Personal Data We Collect
The only place this website collects personal data is our “Request a Callback” enquiry form, used on the homepage, About Us, Contact, and individual course pages. When you submit this form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your mobile number
- The course category you’re interested in (optional)
We do not collect payment or card details through this website.
Why We Collect It, and Our Legal Basis
- Responding to your enquiry — so we can call or email you back about the course(s) you’re interested in. Legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to a request you have made) and, in submitting the form, your consent.
- Processing your enrolment, if you go on to book a course with us — including registering you with the relevant awarding body and providing ongoing assessor support. Legal basis: performance of a contract (our Terms and Conditions), and, where relevant, our legal obligations to the awarding body regulating your qualification.
Who We Share Your Data With
We share personal data with:
- WPForms — the form software that powers our website’s enquiry form. Your submission is processed and stored on our own website systems using this software.
- Our hosting provider — which stores our website and its database, including any data submitted via our forms, on our behalf.
- Awarding bodies — if you enrol on a course with us, we share the relevant personal data with the awarding body responsible for your qualification, for the purposes of registration, assessment, and issuing your certification.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How Long We Keep Your Data
If you enrol on a course with us, we retain personal data relating to your learning, assessment, and certification for up to three years after you complete your qualification, so that we can provide information about your learning or issue a replacement certificate if needed.
If you contact us via our enquiry form but don’t go on to enrol, we keep your enquiry details for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and follow up, and will delete them sooner on request.
Cookies
Our website may use essential cookies required for it to function correctly (for example, security and caching). We do not currently use cookies for advertising or non-essential tracking. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data. To exercise any of them, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
- Right to access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Please provide enough information for us to verify your identity; we will respond within one month. There are some exceptions — for example, if releasing the information would reveal personal data about someone else, or we are legally prevented from disclosing it.
- Right to erasure — you can request that we delete your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, where you withdraw consent, where there is no overriding legitimate reason for us to keep processing it, or where it has been unlawfully processed.
- Right to rectification — we aim to keep your personal data accurate and complete. Let us know if any of it is incorrect or has changed, so we can update our records.
- Right to object — you can object to our processing of your personal data where it’s based on legitimate interests and there’s no overriding reason for us to continue, or where it’s being processed for direct marketing.
- Right to restrict processing — in certain circumstances (for example, while we’re verifying data you’ve queried, or you’ve objected to processing based on legitimate interests) you can ask us to restrict further processing rather than deleting it.
- Right to data portability — where we process your data based on your consent or a contract, and by automated means, you can ask for it to be provided to you or another data controller in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
The UK GDPR sets out exceptions to these rights. If we’re unable to fulfil a request because of an exception, we’ll explain why in our response.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to This Policy
If we make a material change to what data we collect or how we use it, we will post the revised policy on this page.
